So you want to learn how to be a DJ? Moonstone’s DJing workshop is back and it’s perfect for absolute beginners and those new to DJing.

This workshop will cover: 

Introduction to Digital DJing

• Introduction to Industry Standard Equipment

• Equipment Tutorial – Functions, Basic Cueing, Levels

Track Analysis & Intermediate Beat Mixing

• Track/Song Analysis of various genres of Electronic Dance Music

• DJ Mixer & Controller Functions

Basic Beat Mixing

• Tempo Shifts

• Beat Matching

• Basic Transitions

Fundamentals will be taught with house music. At the end of each section all students will be able to practice before moving on to the next section. At the end of the workshop, there will be open practice for students to experiement and consolidate what they’ve learnt in the workshop. To facilitate ease of learning, the workshop will be limited to 6 participants.
